Some 'tools' now available to
designers are not yet compatible with the target customer PC, browser, or
bandwidth. Any limitation created by using the wrong 'tools' can provide
customers with frustration and lose the company credibility. Tool selection for
a client solution must involve considering:
|
|
| Type and
capability of web server |
|
| "Correct tool for the job." |
HTML,
DHTML, ACTIVE X, CSS, FLASH, ASP, JAVA, PERL, JPG, GIF, PDF, APPLET. These
(and others) are all designer 'tools of the trade' for making things happen on
the customers browser. The solution has to consider what's needed and best for
the job in hand. Any solution using the internet is ultimately viewed by a
customer and impacts on the client business.
